Privacy Policy

Hourline is a scheduling app. This policy explains what information the app handles, where it is kept, and the choices you have. In short: your schedule stays on your device unless you turn on sync, synced data is encrypted, and we never sell it or use it for advertising.
Using the app without signing in
Without sync, everything you enter (your schedule, check-ins, metrics, and the people and schedules you add) is stored only in your browser on your own device. It is not sent to us. Schedules you choose to share by text message or file go only to the people you send them to.
Using sync (Sign in with Google)
If you turn on sync, you sign in with your Google account. From Google we receive:
- A unique account identifier, used to know which schedule is yours.
- Your email address, shown back to you in the app so you know which account you are signed in with. It is not stored in our database.
We do not receive your Google password, contacts, Gmail, Drive files, calendar, or any other Google data.
Your schedule data is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to our sync service, hosted on Cloudflare. Before it is stored, it is encrypted with AES-256 using a key unique to your account. The encryption keys are kept separately from the database.
How we use information
- To keep your schedule the same across your devices.
- To keep you signed in and to let you sign out of all devices.
We do not sell your information, share it with advertisers, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. The app has no third-party analytics or tracking.
Service providers
- Google confirms your identity when you sign in.
- Cloudflare hosts the website and the sync service, and stores your encrypted schedule.
Keeping and deleting your data
Synced data is kept until you delete it. In the app, go to Settings, Sync across devices, Security options, and choose Delete my cloud data. This permanently removes your schedule from our servers and signs out every device. Data stored on your own devices stays there until you remove it (Settings, Erase everything) or clear your browser's data.
You can also remove Hourline's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account's security settings.
Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, signed sessions that expire, and restrictions on which websites can talk to the sync service. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify affected users without unreasonable delay if we learn of a breach affecting their data.
Children
Hourline is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. Significant changes will be noted in the app.
